How do I book?
Just send me an email with your request to or call me.

Do I need to pay for the whole stay at the time of booking?
In order to reserve the room we ask that you pay a deposit of 1 night, full details of how to make payment will be sent with your confirmation

What is your cancellation policy? If you should cancel your booking less than 2 weeks prior to arrival and we do not manage to relet the room then the deposit is forfeit. We always advise that you take out a travel insurance policy.

Check in and check out time?
Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 11am, however you are welcome to arrive early to deposit your luggage and collect your key and if your room is ready it will be made available to you. You may also leave your luggage (in our dining room) after check out time.

Can I arrive late at night?
Usually there is no problem. We live next door so as long as we know your arrival time we can arrange for someone to meet you even if we are not in ourselves.

What is the closest tube station?
Kennington tube station on the Northern line, less than 50 metres from the B & B Are there any buses? Yes, there are a great many buses, some are as good as any tourist bus, number 159 for example. Please refer to the tfl site for more information -

How do I get to the B & B?
Go to our "contact us" page on our website and in the transport for London journey planner enter your start destination and tap on leave now and it will give you the best route.

Can you recommend a taxi firm?
We have a very good local taxi firm, details of which are in the guest folder (in each of the guest rooms) or for transfers from the airport we can recommend a very reasonable and reliable firm.

Are you very central?
Yes, we are. For example 10 minutes by bus to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, 8 minutes by tube to Leicester Square, Soho and theatres.

Do I get my own key?
Yes of course you get a front door key and your own room key.

Can I come and go as I please?
Of course you are entirely free to come and go as you please if you are arriving late or leaving early, please be mindful of other guests.

What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room between 8am and 10am.

What is breakfast?
We serve a continental buffet breakfast.

Do you have tea and coffee making facilities?
Tea, coffee and biscuits are laid out on the sideboard in the kitchen, the hot tap (instant boiling water) can be found to the left of the sink.

Can we eat meals in the dining room?
You are welcome to eat any meals you have brought in or order a takeaway to eat in the kitchen, although we ask that you leave the kitchen as you have found it.

Are there local restaurants?
Yes, we have a very good selection, ranging from Italian/Thai/Indian as well as good gastro pubs (please see the information folder in your room.

Do you have laundry facilities?
No although there is a launderette only 5 minutes away.

Do you have free wifi?
There is free wifi access throughout the B & B (code can be found in your guest folder). There is also an ipad for guest use in the dining room.

Do you have a guest telephone?
There is a telephone in the kitchen. Calls to landlines in 32 countries are FREE of charge up to 50 minutes per call. Please see the list in your guest folder as to free calls and charges. Can I smoke?
No, we are strictly a no smoking establishment and there are smoke alarms throughout the B & B. Can I bring a pet?
I am afraid not. Are you child friendly?
Absolutely. We have 3 children ourselves and welcome families. We also have baby cots and a high chair.

Are all your bedrooms ensuite?
Some are, some aren't - please see our floor plan, however all bathrooms are for the sole use of the room/rooms you occupy and no one else.

Do you have central heating?
Yes. All of our rooms have Victorian cast iron radiators and our bathrooms have heated towel rails.

Do you have air conditioning?

Is there parking in the area?
There is no free parking. There are parking meters in the streets surrounding the B & B and there are residents bays for which you can purchase visitors parking permits.

Are you in the congestion zone?
No we are just outside it. (What is congestion charge?) Refer to

Is there a car rental office in the area?
There are several, please google car rental Clapham Road, London ( a 10 minute walk from the B & B).

Are there rental bikes in the area?
Yes there are, please see the website The closest bikes are just across the road in Cleaver Square.

Do you provide hair dryers?
Yes there are hair dryers in each room.
