We are a family run business who have been providing accommodation and hospitality to people since 1993. From this our experience in providing our guests with comfort, consideration and care has been developed.
Along the way we have also restored many London houses. Our latest venture is the development and restoration of this beautiful 18th Century Georgian house in Kennington.
Located within Central London, Kennington is within the hearing of the division bell - the boundary set by Parliament. When the bell is rung, MP's should be within parliament in eight minutes. Many MP's therefore live within the area, which boasts many Georgian squares, houses and architecture; Kennington having been developed in the 17th Century.
In fact, Kennington can be traced back to Roman times and beyond and even appears in the Doomsday book of 1086 as "Chenintune". Kennington Park Road, where the B & B is situated, is a long and straight road and follows the old Roman Road of Stane Street. Kennington is also home to:
Beefeater Gin, the only globally recognised gin still to be made in the Capital;
Oval Cricket Ground, with its own rich history having staged its first cricket match in 1709 as well as being the permanent home of Surrey Cricket Club since 1845. The Oval continues to be a celebrated feature of the sporting calendar, playing host to prestigious international and county matches alike;
The birthplace and childhood home of Charlie Chaplin.
